Kiwi Visitors

Mum and dad arrived in London for a couple of nights, it was great to see them again. Saw Shakespeare's Globe with them, went to St Pauls (amazing views from the top) and saw the Blood Brothers musical - excellent performance. They also did a bunch of other toursity stuff.

Unfortunately they didn't have the smoothest stay, dad lost his bag on the way from Heathrow and they were here during the attemped second attack on London and when the guy was shot. Gave them a crash course in London transport alternatives though!

Had my mate Dean from university flatting days come stay with us for a couple of nights the other week. Was great to see a face from home. Another of our old flatmates, Geo, was in town too so we thoroughly enjoyed a trip down pub. Just like old times.

This weekend just gone we've seen Trina and Lui from Catholic circles in Auckland. Was great to see them for a couple of nights. Went to see the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with them. Not a bad wee movie actually.

Sunday we went to a meeting for people going to World Youth Day in Cologne. Met an old friend of Lucy's, Sabina, and started feeling quite excited about going there in a fortnight - despite the 5:15am departure time, and the 14 hour bus trip!
